Eating enough nuts & seeds is very important for good health

13 Dec 2012. Global Burden of Disease Study 2010. The Lancet.

According to the 2010 “Global Burden of Disease”, the 12th highest risk factor, globally, for the greatest “loss of health” is low nut and seed consumption (8th in North America) – and more important in preventing heart disease than eating enough fruit, vegetables, whole grains, or seafood with omega-3 — more than any of the other dietary risks.  Even more than little physical activity.

So be sure to use Super Seed Mix, add nuts or seeds, or use almond meal to the whole grain artisan chips and crackers you bake.

About Alice

I've milled and baked with whole grains for many years, because whole grains are delicious, and white flour is missing the nutrition that protects you from cancer, stroke, heart disease, diabetes and many other diseases. Plus it's a good emergency food.
